An exclusive interview carried out by Events Forest crew with the CEO of Ageless Beauty Favour Danjuma.
Ques.: Tell us about the company and what it is all about?
Favour: Ageless beauty is beauty and wellness company based in Abuja and it was established around 2015, although before then, I was into wellness stuff like all these Forever, Tiens (Tianshi) and stuff. Growing up, my family and people use to think am offset with that… but really I just like seeing things looking beautiful and all that.

Ques.: How did you kick off?
Favour: How did I start? (Thinking)… I met senior friend like… uhmm… okay, the wellness part was something I’ve done a couple of time like the whole Forever Living products and the Tiens (Tianshi) thing. But then, make up started basically (thinking) in 2013. I met someone, a senior friend from secondary school. So, she met me and told me she was into make-up products and since I was doing this whole “forever” thing, she just felt “why don’t you sell make up as well”.
So, it wasn’t like I wanted to start doing make up professionally. When she told me about it, she told me the profit margin and I was like okay, that’s not bad, so I started selling make up products.

I got the first order, I sold it to a couple of friends then … it was good, I like the business. The thing about make-up is not like the wellness products like you have to take it for a couple of months or weeks before you start seeing results. This one was instant; someone robs powder and goes like oh!! I like it. I started selling it and it was now out selling the other stuff I was doing. And then I was now having the problem of… some products that will come and even I the seller wouldn’t know how to use them. For instance, the eyebrow definer, I didn’t know how to use that, but then when I was selling it, people will be like “how do I use it?” I had a second thought that: why don’t you go and learn the art of make up. And that was how it all started.
Favour: Challenges? Yea, challenges come up of course, like you know, it now felt like I was living the wellness products to make up. So trying to introduce that to your clients makes it a bit difficult but as time went on, and like I said, make up is visual, it’s something you can see. The moment they see you with it, they see you wearing it and they like it, they will buy it.
Or when you need thick thing about Ageless beauty, as the name implies, basically, we are not only into making you look beautiful; we are also making you look ageless and timeless. You know, there is a recent craze with the ehmm… You know… age… like you know… defining age and all that. But for us at Ageless beauty, it’s beyond the physical, it’s from the inside-out, so beside us giving you make up tips and making you up, we also give health tips and wellness tips.
So, the thing, the selling point… the unique thing about Ageless beauty is that we make you beautiful from the inside-out and we enhance your beauty without being over at the top. We also give you the added advantage or rather the added extra, which is the wellness tips, and we always give that to every client. Like some skin beauty, down to weight lost, to weight management, we take care of all that. Although these services can stand solely on their own, we give them as a package. Like if you come for the wellness, we also give you the make-up advantage. If you come for the make-up, we give you the wellness advantage. That’s the thing about Ageless beauty.
